Oncology Nursing Role

  • Provide evidence-based nursing care to patients, prioritizing their needs and comfort throughout the treatment process.
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care delivery, leveraging your strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety through proactive measures, adhering to ACQSHC National standards.
  • Supervise and guide nursing team members to deliver patient care, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs, showcasing empathy and compassion.

  • Current Registration with AHPRA.
  • Working with Children check.
  • Minimum 2 years recent Oncology Nursing Experience.
  • Competent in Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Administration.
  • Competent in IV Cannulation & Accessing of CVAD/Ports.
  • ADAC trained and certified.
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care.
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
