At GenesisCare, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse to take on the challenging role of Oncology Unit Manager. This position will play a crucial part in our efforts to provide high-quality cancer care to patients around the world.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse with 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years in Medical Oncology, to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the nursing team to achieve our strategic objectives, vision, and values.

Key responsibilities include providing advanced Oncology nursing knowledge and skills, leadership, and effective communication to ensure a positive and engaged workforce. You will also be responsible for managing resources effectively to ensure all aspects of legislation are addressed.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of current trends, research, and policies in Oncology Nursing. They will work closely with the Centre Leader, Director of Nursing, and Quality Manager to ensure evidence-based best practice guidelines are applied.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Clinical experience as a nurse – 5 years nursing with at least 3 years Medical Oncology experience
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
  • Strong commitment to quality patient care
