About the Role

The School of Nursing and Midwifery at La Trobe University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a Senior Lecturer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) course and make a significant impact on the education of future nurse practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of the Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) course, ensuring it remains current and relevant to the needs of the profession.
  • Work with industry partners to provide clinical supervision and support to nurse practitioner students.
  • Design and implement innovative curriculum that reflects best practice nationally and internationally.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to colleagues in curriculum design and development, teaching, and research.
  • Contribute to the development of a culture that values excellence in teaching and research within the School.

Requirements

  • Completed an endorsed nurse practitioner master's degree and significant experience in the discipline area.
  • Current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Current or recent participation in clinical practice as a nurse practitioner.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development, and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended, and online modes.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership at course/program level.
