About the Position

The School of Nursing and Midwifery at La Trobe University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced academic to lead our Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) course. As a Senior Lecturer in Nursing and Midwifery, you will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative curriculum, providing leadership and mentoring to others, and contributing to the development of the course.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver curriculum that reflects developing best practice nationally and internationally.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to others in subject or course level curriculum design and development and delivery of teaching.
  • Work with industry partners to support the clinical supervision of nurse practitioner students.
  • Lead the implementation of teaching improvement projects at course, discipline, or School level.
  • Contribute to building a culture that values excellence in teaching within La Trobe.

Requirements

  • Completed an endorsed nurse practitioner master's degree.
  • Hold current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Current or recent participation in clinical practice as a nurse practitioner.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership at course/program level.
