Role Overview

RMIT University seeks a highly qualified and experienced Academic Leader to join its School of Health and Biomedical Sciences. About the Position

  • As a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor, you will be responsible for teaching, research, and industry engagement efforts in the Discipline of Nursing. You will contribute to academic leadership duties, including course coordination, curriculum development, and academic program management.
  • You will have a strong track record of research and scholarship, with a demonstrated ability to attract and secure external research funding. You will also have experience in supervising higher degree by research candidates and mentoring academic staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching and research in the Discipline of Nursing, including course coordination and curriculum development
  • Academic leadership duties, including academic program management and staff supervision
  • Research and scholarship, including securing external research funding and supervising higher degree by research candidates

Requirements

  • PhD in a related field, or approved AQF equivalency with relevant industry experience
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  • Proven track record of research and scholarship, including experience in securing external research funding
  • Experience in supervising higher degree by research candidates and mentoring academic staff
