Job Title: Operations Manager

Ensure the smooth operation of a hotel during overnight hours, providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a safe environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operational Excellence
  • Assist with the development and implementation of SOPs for front office departments, focusing on Night Audit functions and overnight shift duties.
  • Guarantee high-quality service from the front office team, emphasizing professionalism, attention to detail, and personal recognition.
  • Engage with guests upon arrival, fostering relationships and driving continuous improvement in guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct routine inspections of hotel grounds, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
  • Provide cross-functional support, assisting other departments as needed to deliver seamless guest experiences.
  • Train colleagues effectively, providing them with the tools and equipment necessary to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and execute induction, onboarding, training, and development programs for new employees.
  • Manage and oversee all hotel operations during night shifts.
  • Oversee the night audit process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial report preparation, working closely with the finance team.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience in guest service/hotel management, with at least one year in a senior capacity.
  • A proven ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, turning issues into opportunities that create lasting positive memories for guests.
  • Current certifications in Responsible Service of Alcohol, First Aid, and CPR.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with full working rights in Australia without restrictions.
