As a Senior Consultant/Senior Planner, you will contribute to multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with economists, heritage planners, urban designers, social planners, and transport planners.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Providing strategic advice and insights to clients
- Conducting assessments, master plans, and managing approval processes
- Developing client relationships through trust, quality advice, and effective communication
- Writing submissions, proposals, and advice that meet client needs
- Managing small to medium-sized projects, including scoping, costing, tracking job costs, and coordinating consultants and sub-consultants
- Identifying and raising issues impacting fee estimates or timelines
- Counseling and developing team members
- Contributing to quality assurance and business planning for the Planning team
Requirements include:
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in urban planning, ideally with project management experience
- Strong knowledge of statutory and strategic planning legislation, gained in a consultancy or local/state government environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, prioritising competing demands and managing multiple projects within agreed budgets and timeframes
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous professional development, with strong written and verbal communication skills
