Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Cultural Rehabilitation Consultant. This role involves working with First Nations clients to address the barriers they face in their lives and assist them in achieving meaningful engagement in occupations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as experience working with these communities. They will also possess well-developed communication skills, empathy, and cultural competence.

About the Role
  • Assist in developing and delivering culturally appropriate programs and services for First Nations clients.
  • Evaluate treatment and/or rehabilitation needs of workers who have been involved in a work-related or non-work-related injury or illness.
  • Help clients identify future employment or training options by reviewing their transferable skills, qualifications, and interests.
  • Perform assessments depending on area of clinical expertise, such as functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic, or activities of daily living assessments.
  • Responsible for effective case management to plan, coordinate, and monitor client progress toward return to work goal.
  • Engage with key stakeholders and build relationships to facilitate achievement of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Assist in designing and implementing culturally sensitive programs that meet the unique needs of First Nations clients.
  • Treatment Planning: Evaluate client needs and develop personalized treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery and outcomes.
  • Case Management: Coordinate and monitor client progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure timely return to work.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
