Job Title: Community Work Development Officer

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a dedicated professional to play a key role in developing and maintaining productive and sustainable community work partnerships.

The successful candidate will have experience in effectively building and maintaining partnerships with community organisations, excellent relationship-building and communication skills, an ability to work collaboratively and mentor colleagues, and capability to produce detailed reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelines.

Experience in community services, not-for-profit or community development is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners
  • Identify opportunities for offenders to participate in meaningful work that promotes offender rehabilitation and enhances community safety
  • Work closely with colleagues and provide guidance as needed
  • Produce high-quality reports and other documents in line with departmental standards
