About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commis Chef to join our team at Merivale. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food quality and service in our hot section.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Lead and motivate a team of chefs to achieve exceptional results.
- Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor.
About You
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a hot section (Grills/Planchas/Fryer) in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Availability to work late night shifts (Thursday to Saturday) is essential.
- Passion for Mexican cuisine and a love for good food.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills.
