About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at JRM Hospitality. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen activities, ensuring food quality, and maintaining inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food quality control, and menu development.
  • Maintain food and labour costs within budget, minimizing wastage and promoting efficiency.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and development of kitchen staff, fostering a high-performance culture through strong leadership.
  • Contribute to creative input in the kitchen, ensuring innovative and high-quality dishes.
  • Manage stock and ordering processes effectively.

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop your team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Full working rights within Australia.
