">Job DescriptionWhat we do:
As a Law graduate, you will work with industry leaders to develop policies and legislation that guide Australians in their tax obligations. You will conduct research and analysis to provide advice, and have the opportunity to develop your skills within an area of specialisation based on policy and legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the delivery of non-tax legal and dispute resolution services through the provision of procedural, operational and legal support
- Analyse, interpret and apply legislation, policies, practices and precedents in the resolution of legal matters; under the direction of more senior employees or escalating cases where appropriate
- Assist with managing disputes in a range of jurisdictions on behalf of the ATO in relation to non-tax legal matter
Training and Development:
You will receive tailored training and mentoring from subject matter experts to enable you to reach your full potential. This includes opportunities to develop your skills in areas such as:
- Policy development and implementation
- Legislative drafting and review
- Court proceedings and dispute resolution
Requirements:
To be eligible for our Graduate Program, you must have completed your university degree within the last five years or be in your final year of study. At the time of commencing our program, you must have completed all your course requirements. You must also be an Australian citizen and willing to undergo police, character and health checks as required.
