Taxation Specialist

Job Overview:

This is a great career opportunity to work in a small team and gain exposure to a broad range of tax activities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee compliance and ensure the company meets all tax obligations across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore (including GST, FBT, BAS, income tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing).
  • Prepare and/or review workbooks for various local tax compliance tasks and ensure that obligations are met by the deadlines.
  • Conduct research and analysis, consider and recommend options to meet company needs and enable informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures for taxation-related matters.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders regarding taxation activities, such as external tax advisers, auditors, and tax authorities.
Key Requirements:
  • Demonstrated understanding of taxation with a minimum of 3 years tax experience in Australia.
  • Understanding of GST and Withholding Tax.
  • Experience working in chartered firms highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply tax legislation.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Self-motivated person who takes pride in quality of work.
  • Experienced in the development, implementation, and evaluation of best practice policies, procedures, strategies, and/or initiatives.
