Job Description

As an Intellectual Property Lawyer Support Specialist, you will play a key role in assisting patent attorneys with the protection, commercialization, and enforcement of intellectual property. Your responsibilities will include preparing and proofreading various correspondence and documents, uploading documents, and maintaining accurate information on client portals. You will also liaise with IP Australia for document productions, lodgements, and amendments, and perform general administration tasks such as diary management and arranging travel and meetings.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a legal secretary/administrator/'career' paralegal in any area of law, including intellectual property (preferably patents). You must be highly competent in Microsoft Office, with a fast typing accuracy of at least 55wpm. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team, are essential. Additionally, you should have high accuracy and be able to meet deadlines efficiently.
