The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and organised Legal Assistant to join the dedicated team of this reputable boutique firm. The role involves a mix of administrative, client-facing, and legal support responsibilities, offering variety and the chance to work closely with experienced lawyers.

  • Assist with commercial and property law matters, including contracts, leases, and settlements.
  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence with precision.
  • Liaise confidently with clients, banks, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage calendars, appointments, and meeting schedules for lawyers.
  • Maintain organised files and compile briefs for Counsel.
  • Process billing and invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide administrative support for dispute resolution and other legal matters as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Assistant with:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities with a high degree of initiative.
  • Confident in Microsoft Office Suite and computerised case management systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Discreet, reliable, and fully aware of the need for confidentiality in client and firm matters.
  • Able to cope with varying workloads, multi-task effectively, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and quality-driven.
