We are seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to join our highly regarded Australian Intellectual Property and Technology practice in Melbourne.

Job Overview
  • Maintain client relationships, coordinate meetings, manage equipment, and ensure timely responses;
  • Edit, draft, and prepare correspondence, documents, and presentations with precision;
  • Proactively oversee financial management requirements, including opening matters, conflict checking, trust management, accounts payable, audit letters, high-volume billing, and file closure;
  • Collaborate with the team to identify areas for process improvements and implement changes;
  • Manage administrative tasks, including telephones, electronic and hard-copy filing, printing, mail, and other general office duties;
Requirements
  • A background in legal administration or professional services support, seeking a career in legal assistance;
  • An energetic, enthusiastic, and team-oriented individual committed to delivering exceptional service to internal teams and clients;
  • Organized, efficient, and adept at working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments;
  • Familiarity with Elite or similar finance software for managing expenses, matters, timesheets, client billing, and reporting requirements;
  • Proficiency in Outlook for organizing contacts, mail, and calendars;
  • A solid grasp of technology to produce high-quality documentation and awareness of other tools to ensure optimal results;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
