Community Maintenance and Facilities Officer

Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a skilled Community Maintenance and Facilities Officer to join our team in the Pilbara region. As a key member of our municipal services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services to remote Aboriginal communities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of community facilities, including power and water compounds, airstrips, and landfill areas.
- Implement dust control measures and control shrubs and vegetation to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Perform routine vehicle and trailer inspections and report any faults or issues.
- Collect and dispose of rubbish and maintain landfill areas in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Conduct visual inspections of community and essential assets to identify any maintenance or repair needs.
- A valid manual C-class driver's licence and First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a similar role or environment, preferably in remote areas or public works.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to work in hot weather conditions.
