Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to join our team as an EHS And Rail Safety Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of effective measures to control and mitigate risks associated with our rail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive EHS risk assessments and implement controls to minimize risks
- Develop and deploy procedures and tools tailored for our EHS Management System, aligning with legislative requirements and relevant standards
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of the site, demonstrating a strong focus on compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with site teams to foster and enhance the EHS culture, using strategic insights where needed
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A degree in Workplace, Health and Safety or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in local legal requirements, particularly in the context of Rail Safety
- Previous experience in the rail industry or a similar safety-critical environment, highlighting your adaptability and expertise
- A solid grasp of safe working systems, rules, and procedures
