About the Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Site Operations Director, responsible for overseeing the Australian operations of Transurban. This role involves facilitating the delivery of the overall workplace strategy to meet Transurban's current and future needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic direction for the Facilities Management Services function
  • Lead, develop and coach a highly capable team to roll out business-as-usual (BAU) and longer-term processes and strategies
  • Identify areas to streamline and automate business processes, partnering with the technology team to leverage technologies and ensure seamless experiences for users
  • Represent the facilities function across the business, establishing best practice standards for facilities and bringing everyone along on the journey
  • E nsure safety is always top priority for the business and its employees through the provision of safe, clean and operational facilities that are compliant with local laws and regulations
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a similar Senior Facilities Management role, ideally across multiple sites and regions within a corporate environment
  • Experience in overseeing a complex portfolio across a mix of owned and leased buildings, facilities management, consolidation projects and contract management, including managing large teams of contractors
  • Sound knowledge of various codes and HSE regulations
  • Able to prioritise, delegate and remain calm in a crisis; keen to get hands dirty to resolve situations
  • Ability to mentor, lead and influence others by example
