Job Summary

A challenging opportunity exists for an experienced Site Operations Director to lead our site operations team in Melbourne or Sydney.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with experience in supervising and managing site activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety Plan and Project Risk Registers.
  • Establishing clear budgets for each site sub-contractor with the Project Manager.
  • Providing clear direction to site supervisors on site.
  • Leading site investigations and compilation of site design data.
  • Managing site Quality Assurance ensuring installation testing is thoroughly carried out, recorded, and signed off.
  • Collaborating with the Project Manager on contract variation orders and scope change requests.
  • Overseeing site design including co-ordination of services, establishment of cable routes, positioning of equipment.
  • Onsite commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Representing Daifuku Oceania at site meetings and coordinating meetings.
  • Assisting with delivery of the project to client operations and maintenance staff, including staff training.
  • Assisting with preparation of design documentation and drawings.
  • Assisting with procurement.
About You

We are seeking an individual who possesses:

  • Trade or tertiary qualifications in either Electrical or Mechanical field along with relevant experience.
  • Experience in detailed electrical and control system operation.
  • Previous experience in management roles, including staff, cost control, and budget management.
  • Qualifications in Safety such as Certificate IV.
  • Strong people management and delegation skills, along with the ability to manage resources across several areas of activity.
  • Solid knowledge of Project Management principles and techniques as they apply to installation activities.
  • A high degree of competence in reading and understanding detailed design documentation.
  • A customer-centric approach.

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and other benefits.
