Job Title: Cybersecurity StrategistAbout the Role:

The Cybersecurity Strategist plays a pivotal part in ensuring the delivery, operations and maintenance of cybersecurity initiatives for the public health sector. This includes all public healthcare and has a direct influence on mitigating cybersecurity threats and improving overall cybersecurity across the Victorian healthcare sector.

The role requires participation in a cyber incident response team and may involve intermittent out-of-hours work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity Strategy Development: Provide assurance, guidance and advisory services to support the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies and initiatives.
  • Incident Response: Lead the response to complex cyber incidents and ensure effective management of security events.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on cybersecurity matters.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies to inform strategic decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in cybersecurity, preferably in security operations.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in project management, delivery and deployment of cybersecurity solutions.
  • Experience in managing and responding to cyber incidents.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA is highly desirable.
  • A full driver's license valid in Australia, and willingness to travel to regional and rural locations within Victoria.
