Job Title: Cybersecurity Strategist

">About the Role

Canonical is seeking an experienced cybersecurity strategist to lead our threat intelligence efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing and implementing effective threat intelligence strategies, as well as expertise in open source intelligence (OSINT) tools and techniques.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and owning Canonical's threat intelligence strategy, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to stay ahead of emerging threats, and contributing to the wider threat intelligence community through thought leadership and research.

We are looking for a highly motivated and collaborative individual who is passionate about cybersecurity and has a strong understanding of the current threat landscape.

">Duties
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive threat intelligence strategy for Canonical
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize areas of focus for threat intelligence activities
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and trends in the cybersecurity industry
  • Contribute to the development of OSINT tradecraft, principles, and techniques
  • Work with product and engineering teams to inform on activity of interest
  • Coordinate adversary/campaign tracking
Requirements
  • Proven experience in threat intelligence, with a focus on OSINT
  • Strong understanding of computer networking/infrastructure concepts
  • Highly competent with OSINT tools (e.g., Buscador, Trace Labs OSINT VM, OSINT Framework, Maltego, Shodan, social media scraping tools, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Desired Characteristics
  • Professional portfolio of OSINT related scripts, tools, or frameworks
  • Demonstrated involvement in the larger OSINT community
  • Degree qualified, with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field
  • Certifications in related areas (e.g. GOSI, SANS SEC487 & SEC587, IntelTechniques OSIP, etc)
