Chief Cybersecurity Strategist

About the Role:

This is a critical position within our organization, responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to safeguard our digital assets.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical expertise and soft skills, with experience working in similar roles and a genuine passion for cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies aligned with industry best practices.
  • Lead regular security audits of systems and permissions, monitoring access, conducting security assessments, and participating in incident response efforts.
  • Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives and projects, such as Identity Access Management, Vulnerability Management, and Privileged Identity Management.
  • Monitor security log collection, alerting, and response technologies.
  • Collaborate with security frameworks, standards, and controls, such as NIST and ACSC Essential Eight.
  • Collect logs, analyze data, and create reports.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Operational knowledge of Microsoft products and essential security configurations.
  • Understanding of cloud security risks and mitigation approaches.
  • Experience with azure cloud services.
  • Strong background in Microsoft desktop/server, active directory, security, and networking technologies.
  • Basic understanding of network concepts, such as network ports, segmentation, and firewalls.
  • Basic understanding of the CIA triad, confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
