The role of a Learning and Development Professional encompasses the planning, design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees within an organization.
This position is responsible for managing technical training, inductions, and onboarding processes for construction teams. Key tasks include collaborating with managers, human resources, and talent acquisition to ensure seamless integration of new employees into the workforce.
To be successful in this role, applicants must possess exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, as well as outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. A strong commitment to safety procedures and a willingness to learn new technology are also essential.
Beyond these core requirements, ideal candidates will have experience delivering technical construction and safety training, hold a relevant certification (such as a Cert IV in Training and Assessment), and demonstrate a proven track record of mentoring and coaching early-career professionals to achieve their full potential.
- Design, develop, and deliver structured, engaging training sessions using a blended approach of virtual, online, and in-person methods.
- Mentor and coach early-career talent to ensure effective career plans are mapped for future development.
