Role Overview

As a skilled professional, you will play a key role in promoting our values and supporting vulnerable communities in the South Western Sydney region. This position oversees the management of contracts associated with Targeted Earlier Intervention (TEI), Drug and Alcohol Program (AOD), and Youth Frontiers (Mentoring Program).

Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating program plans to meet goals and objectives and satisfy contract requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
  • Monitoring performance and addressing non-performance
  • Developing and maintaining systems for ongoing monitoring of contractual compliance
  • Encouraging staff capacity-building to meet compliance requirements
  • Collaborating with key staff to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while delivering quality services to clients and the community
  • Identifying and managing contract risks to meet organisational obligations and achieve planned outcomes
  • Coordinating joint programs and activities with stakeholders in the Southwest region
  • Ensuring data collection and reporting meets funding body requirements
  • Nurturing a positive team culture and facilitating ways to strengthen communication, teamwork, learning, and continuity of care
  • Providing leadership, direction, and mentorship to teams, including preparation of individual work plans
  • Compiling comprehensive training needs analysis and ensuring staff are adequately skilled to perform duties
  • Participating in working groups, re-commissioning, ASES standards, and re-contracting of services
  • Ensuring complex issues related to child protection and mandatory reporting matters align with NSW Ombudsman guidelines

Additional responsibilities include preparing financial reports on activity, expenditure, funding, and KPI results monthly and working closely with Senior Management to ensure a collaborative approach towards program success.

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, applicants must possess:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or Community Services or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management in a not-for-profit organisation, including ability to meet targets, milestones, and outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to form strategic relationships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated awareness of child protection issues, with the capacity to identify levels of risk requiring statutory child protection intervention
