
Capital Projects Coordinator

This role involves assisting the project team with project controls support, including planning and scheduling, progress measurement, change management and reporting.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in engineering, project management or related discipline and experience in project controls software, including cost control and scheduling packages. They will be able to work closely with the project services manager and the project management team to assist with the stewardship of all areas of project controls, and develop insightful reporting on cost, schedule, progress, risks and issues for the project.
- Assist in preparing project controls deliverables and requirements for the assurance process.
- Take over and administer the project's planning and scheduling requirements.
- Support the set-up of main contracts and ensure contractor processes and systems are adequately established.
- Monitor and analyze costs vs. budget, including preparation of trends and forecasts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance in administering the project's controls requirements via Santos required software.
- Support the project input into the periodic budget processes within the operations division.
- Help identify cost-overrun risks and their root cause and recommend mitigations.
- Assist in preparing the project monthly report by compiling information from within the project team and contractors.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management or related discipline.
- Familiarity with project controls software, including cost control and scheduling packages.
- Understanding of project controls tasks required on a project.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant project controls (or similar) role.
