The role provides the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry's most experienced executives, in a results-driven team that has been established to be nimble and creative. Tetris Capital's principals have delivered over $15 billion of projects, including some of Australia's largest PPP projects.

Together Housing (Queensland) Ltd (the Project Company) has been established to deliver a significant number of affordable dwellings across four sites in Greater Brisbane, as part of the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) program with the federal government body Housing Australia (the Government).. Tetris Capital's role is as investor and asset manager for the Project Company.

Tetris Capital are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their team and assist in overseeing the overall design, construction and operations of the affordable housing projects. The role is a leadership role, reporting directly to the Project Manager and will be based in the Brisbane CBD and on site as required.

Required skills and experience

  • 5 years of relevant experience and tertiary qualifications, which could include a range of backgrounds across commercial and residential construction, development, contract administration, design management and engineering
  • Ability to manage and interpret contracts and deeds
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to build, maintain and influence strong relationships with a range of stakeholders to enable the effective delivery of project design services
  • An action-orientated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced small team, with changing priorities and timelines
  • Experience in residential construction, particularly land subdivision or detached housing will be looked upon favourably (although not mandatory for consideration)
  • Hardworking and self-motivated, with the ability to perform under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating Project Co's obligations in relation to the project documents
  • Review and manage the D&C subcontractor's obligations alongside the Project Co Representative, including design development, modifications, completion, safety and reporting
  • Oversee the operational subcontractor's obligations alongside the Project Co Representative, including the development of plans, mobilisation and completion responsibilities. Including
  • Track construction programme against key milestones
  • Periodic reporting, maintaining health & safety procedures and records for Project Co
  • Liaising with stakeholders and subcontractors.

Location, working arrangements and other requirements

  • The employee shall be located in Brisbane CBD, spending time between the sites described above as required.
  • It is expected the role will be full-time through normal business hours.
  • Applicants are required to have full working rights in Australia.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Satisfactory National Police Check.
