Known for its conservative approach to growth and secure cash flows, the company is now evolving, with plans to expand its recently established funds management business.

The Role
As CFO, you will play a critical leadership role in guiding the company's financial strategy and overseeing all financial, accounting, compliance, legal, and risk management functions. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be instrumental in driving the success of the funds management business and supporting the company's ambitious growth objectives. This role involves close collaboration with Legal, requiring you to ensure that all financial and operational activities align with regulatory and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, contributing to the development and execution of the company's strategic goals.
    • Lead the creation of the company's financial and legal roadmap, aligning financial strategy with growth targets across core and new business lines.
    • Develop and foster relationships with investors, partners, and key external stakeholders to support funding and strategic initiatives.
  2. Financial, Operational, and Legal Management
    • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and cash flow management, ensuring operational efficiency and effective resource allocation.
    • Direct financial reporting and analysis, ensuring timely, accurate financial statements and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Drive improvements in financial and legal processes, including monthly close, audit, taxation, compliance, and risk management, to support the company's expansion.
  3. Legal Compliance and Risk Oversight
    • Collaborate closely with the Legal team to enforce a strong compliance and risk management framework, ensuring that financial and operational risks are effectively managed and that all activities comply with regulatory standards.
    • Oversee fund administration, investor relations, and corporate governance, ensuring that all actions align with legal obligations and best practices.
    • Coordinate with Legal on corporate filings, investor documentation, and other key regulatory submissions, ensuring the company maintains full compliance in all jurisdictions.
  4. Innovation and Business Growth
    • Support the establishment and growth of new funds and entities, including structuring and regulatory compliance, to meet the company's ambitious expansion goals.
    • Build and maintain a strong network of external advisors, including tax professionals, legal experts, and consultants, to support the company's growth strategy and ensure robust legal oversight.
    • Identify and implement data-driven improvements to optimize financial performance, increase productivity, and drive operational efficiencies across financial and legal functions.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally as a CFO or Deputy CFO, with strong experience in legal and compliance matters, preferably in a growth-oriented, complex business environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial strategy, operational efficiency, and legal compliance management.
  • High integrity, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Strategic mindset with attention to detail, suited to a dynamic, entrepreneurial corporate setting.
