Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operational performance standards of rail fleet, ensuring train performance, contract compliance, and overall commercial profitability.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in improving rolling stock asset performance, whether it be light rail, passenger rail, rail maintenance, or freight/locomotive fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team management of a cross-functional team including engineering, maintenance, procurement, and commercial specialists
  • Act as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, including being one of the key client representatives
  • Overall P&L responsibility
  • Driving continuous improvement and reliability processes across the train fleet
  • Risk management

Requirements:

  • Relevant Qualification in Engineering, Business Management, or similar
  • Hands-on experience in a rolling stock management position - maintenance or manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience managing a P&L
