
Business Growth Strategist

Job Title
As a seasoned Business Growth Strategist, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and delivering exceptional account management across our national property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business growth strategy focused on acquiring and retaining corporate clients, government agencies, industry associations, insurance companies, and relocation service providers.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities through market research, proactive outreach, and strategic networking.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team and Revenue Manager to set annual targets, KPIs, and monthly revenue forecasts for the defined portfolio of accounts.
- Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of key accounts through regular engagement, tailored proposals, and innovative solutions within the defined portfolio of accounts.
- Provide regular reporting and reviews to clients and internal stakeholders, as well as support ad-hoc requests.
- Coordinate the preparation of tenders, RFPs, and pricing proposals in alignment with revenue targets and client needs, working closely with the commercial team.
- Facilitate client site visits and familiarizations with regional operations teams and property managers to increase product knowledge and drive sales growth.
- Maintain strong internal communication and alignment on client expectations, contractual obligations, and service levels to drive year-over-year growth and RevPAR outcomes.
- Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and customer needs to refine and optimize the business growth approach, highlighting risks and opportunities to the commercial team and advising on forecast estimates.
- Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to build relationships and promote the organization's offerings.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field, combined with experience in B2B sales from the hospitality, travel, or accommodation sector.
- Demonstrated success in winning and managing corporate and government contracts with strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and an understanding of the accommodation procurement process.
- Excellent communication, relationship, and stakeholder management skills, as well as proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience working with government tenders and procurement platforms, with a general knowledge of the relocation and insurance accommodation sectors highly regarded.
- An existing network of contacts in corporate travel, public sector, or industry associations, with an understanding of Australia's regional tourism and accommodation landscape, would be advantageous.
