About the Role

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is seeking a highly skilled Digital Content Lead to join our News team in Darwin. As a key member of our digital newsroom, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of breaking news, features, and video stories on digital and social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a content strategy to drive engagement and growth on digital platforms
  • Lead a team of digital journalists to produce high-quality articles, videos, and social media content
  • Collaborate with multi-platform reporters to identify story opportunities and produce relevant content for the Northern Territory and Australian audience
  • Monitor and analyze digital audience analytics to inform content direction and provide feedback across all platforms
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital trends and best practices to ensure the ABC's digital news content remains innovative and engaging

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of online news production, digital content distribution, and engagement strategies. You will also have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under tight deadline pressures.
