Key Responsibilities
  • Content Strategy and Development

    • Oversee the development of content ideas, research, scripting, and editing to ensure compelling storytelling.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Lead a team of producers and content creators to deliver high-quality content.
    • Collaborate with on-air talent and production teams to ensure seamless broadcasts.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure all content meets accuracy standards and is legally sound.
    • Monitor and address any issues that arise during news bulletins.
  • Project Management
    • Manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
    • Coordinate efforts in the control room to ensure seamless broadcasts during breaking news events.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
    • Deep knowledge of news, current affairs, and industry trends.
  • Experience
    • Proven experience in television, radio, or other major news media, with a strong track record of leadership.
    • Exceptional customer focus, with outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Skills
    • Superior communication and broadcast-writing skills, with the ability to craft and deliver impactful narratives.
    • In-depth understanding of media and broadcast law, ensuring content meets all legal and ethical standards.
    • Proficiency in ENPS, AVID/Velocity edit systems, or equivalent broadcast television software.
