Leading a team of compliance specialists is a challenging and rewarding role within the construction industry.

The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring contractors operate in accordance with contractual requirements, including safety, environmental, and quality management.

This position plays a critical part in supporting contract management by providing robust oversight of contractor operations, facilitating accurate verification of contractor claims, and contributing to the integrity and efficiency of contracts in execution.

A high-performance culture is crucial in this role, promoting best practices and ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance standards.

The leader in this position oversees day-to-day compliance activities, drives continuous improvement across the team, optimises performance, mentors team members, and fosters professional development to build capability and resilience within the team.

Key responsibilities include effective management of contractors working on contracts of significant value and complexity, ensuring consistent, effective, and responsive site presence to carry out CCS activities, providing clear technical advice and direction to the team, and organising allocated resources to achieve specific outcomes.

The Contractor Compliance Team Leader ensures successful delivery of outsourced works by contractors in full compliance with contractual obligations, focusing on key areas such as site-specific safety management, site-specific environmental management, quality assurance, and schedule management.

To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Law, Engineering, Business, or a Commercial discipline, trade-based qualifications coupled with significant contract and/or construction management experience, and seasoned industry knowledge and technical expertise in complex contract management.
