This position will initially report to the General Manager, Local Government Inspector Implementation.
Following the commencement of the Local Government Inspector, the reporting structure will change.
This reporting arrangement ensures continuity during the establishment phase and a smooth transition into the Inspector's operational structure.
Successful candidates will initially assist with the implementation of the Inspector's functions, including developing compliance strategies and plans.
The roles Manager Compliance and Monitoring (Level 7)As the Manager Compliance and Monitoring, you will form part of a dynamic team responsible for developing and delivering proactive compliance and monitoring frameworks that support consistent application of the Local Government legislative framework and regulations.
Drawing on your expertise in compliance, regulatory practices and governance, you will play a vital role in detecting and addressing non-compliance, identifying risks, and promoting sound governance practices across the sector.
Your leadership skills and experience in managing compliance functions within a regulatory or public sector environment will be key to your success in this role.
You will bring to the team your ability to manage a small, high-performing team, oversee the delivery of compliance initiatives, and provide high-quality advice based on monitoring, reporting and data analysis.
Your strong stakeholder engagement skills will also enable you to build constructive relationships that support capability building and continuous improvement across the local government sector.
General Manager Governance and Compliance (Level 8)As the General Manager Governance and Compliance, you will form part of a dynamic team responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of governance, compliance, communication and policy advisory functions that support the Inspector's statutory remit.
Drawing on your expertise in governance, compliance frameworks and regulatory engagement, you will play a vital role in ensuring transparent, procedurally fair, and effective governance activities that align with legislative obligations and sector expectations.
Your strong leadership skills and experience in regulatory governance and compliance will be key to your success in this role.
You will bring to the team your proven ability to design and deliver non-investigative compliance activities, including monitoring frameworks, education initiatives, and regulatory communications, as well as your capacity to provide high-level strategic advice, influence stakeholders and represent the Inspector in high-profile forums.
