Job Description

We have a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Compliance Specialist to join our Risk and Compliance team.

This role plays a key part in driving business objectives by supporting effective compliance management through the maintenance and continuous improvement of our Compliance Management Policy (CMP).

  • Assist with implementing CMP across the organisation and develop relevant policies, procedures and tools to facilitate compliance and obligation management.
  • Review operational processes to identify potential compliance risks or inefficiencies in controls and suggest suitable process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor, manage and report on compliance risks, including actions taken where material control deficiencies or breakdowns have been identified.
  • Effectively assess, classify and manage reported incidents and breaches.
  • Regularly monitor and report on regulatory and compliance obligations, and any emerging issues and trends.
  • Ensure all applicable obligations are integrated into the business to meet regulatory, legislative and business requirements.
  • Create, maintain, schedule and deliver compliance management training and awareness initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and a solid understanding of compliance management standards, frameworks, tools and best practices.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a compliance related role.
  • Familiarity with private health insurance compliance and regulatory requirements, or experience in the financial services sector, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and continuously improving compliance management frameworks.
