The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate or junior Senior Associate to join our busy competition and disputes practice in Sydney.

You will work within an existing team with a collegiate atmosphere and supportive environment, working closely with senior practitioners across a broad spectrum of both front-end and back-end competition and consumer matters.

Our key focus areas are all aspects of competition and consumer law, including advice, litigation, marketing, advertising clearance, consumer law, regulatory investigations, general commercial litigation, and class actions.

About You

  • A minimum of 5-8 years post-qualification experience (PQE)
  • Demonstrable experience in litigation
  • Deliver high-quality legal services commensurate with experience
  • Maintain and foster existing client relationships
  • Support Partners/Special Counsel and other practice group members to achieve group goals
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Litigation experience including briefing counsel, drafting Court Documents, corresponding with opposing counsel, Courts, and Tribunals
  • Clearly articulate technical arguments
  • Research complex legal matters and provide concise summaries and advice
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Manage workflow and deadlines with minimum supervision
  • Be a team player who assists as required by the team during peak workflow
  • Receive and assimilate feedback from senior practice members
  • Add to a positive office culture
  • Seek assistance and guidance in areas of uncertainty
