
Abuse Law Specialist

We are seeking a skilled legal professional to join our team as an Abuse Law specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar position and be able to demonstrate a high level of empathy and resilience when working with clients who may have undergone significant trauma.
In this role, you will work closely with our solicitors to support them with day-to-day operations of files/client management, prepare matters for conference and hearing, and draft briefs and documents.
You will also be responsible for efficiently coordinating medico-legal appointments, compulsory conferences and mediations, cultivating strong relationships with clients, Shine employees, Counsel and other external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality legal support to our solicitors, including preparing matters for conference and hearing, drafting briefs and documents, and managing client files.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, Shine employees, Counsel and other external stakeholders.
- Cultivate and maintain a thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations, and provide guidance to colleagues on these topics.
- Previous experience in a similar position, preferably in the field of abuse law.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
