Groundsperson Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Groundsperson to maintain the optimal condition of our Royal Randwick Racecourse. This permanent, full-time position is ideal for individuals with experience in turf management or similar roles.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance work including laboring, cleaning, and groundskeeping. They will also operate plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, forklifts, and other machinery. Routine maintenance of turf, synthetic, and artificial surfaces is also a key aspect of this role.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:
  • Operational and mechanical maintenance skills
  • Licences for machinery operation preferred
  • Experience with plant equipment like Bobcat, Grader, Excavator desirable
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and spraying
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong communication skills and outdoor work enjoyment
