Groundsperson

This permanent full-time position will be responsible for maintaining the course proper, training tracks and grounds ensuring they are presented in the best possible condition.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake general maintenance work including labouring, cleaning, tracks, gardens and maintenance instructions
  • Operate plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, front end loader forklift, power sweepers, power harrows, brush cutters, hedgers, push mowers and general spray operations
  • Conduct routine maintenance of turf, synthetic, artificial and other surfaces
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in turf management
  • General operational and mechanical maintenance skills
  • Appropriate licenses to operate specialist machinery such as a manual vehicle, front end loader and forklifts (as applicable)
  • Experience in operating plant and equipment including Bobcat, Grader and Excavator would be desirable
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience of handling and spraying chemicals
  • A demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sound verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills
