Position Overview

Join the dynamic team at Parramatta Aquatic Centre (The PAC), a premier destination for fitness, wellness, and leisure. With its state-of-the-art facilities, including an outdoor Olympic-sized pool and an indoor water play area, The PAC serves as a vital community resource within the rapidly developing Parramatta region.

Your Role

As a Swim Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality aquatic education and water safety programs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting swimming lessons focused on water safety, familiarization, and skill development.
  • Designing engaging lesson plans that prioritize safety and cater to diverse participant needs.
  • Regularly assessing and adapting lesson content to ensure optimal student progress.
  • Maintaining and organizing teaching equipment to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Fostering a customer-centric atmosphere through effective communication and teamwork.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for teaching swimming and water safety. Key qualifications include:

  • Current Australian Swimming & Water Safety certification.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • NSW Working with Children Check.

Desirable Skills

While prior teaching experience is not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • Experience in swim coaching across various age groups.
  • First aid certification.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications for infants, preschoolers, adults, and competitive strokes.
  • Pool Lifeguard certification.
