The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a SIL Engagement Officer/House Supervisor. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the effective operation of Supported Independent Living (SIL) and overseeing the care delivered by support workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to support staff, coordinating daily routines and activities within the SIL house, implementing care plans, and ensuring residents' goals are met.
  • Foster a supportive atmosphere that promotes residents' independence, self-esteem, and participation in various activities, including personal care and medication administration.
  • Maintain open communication with residents, families, guardians, and representatives to ensure individual needs are understood and met, while collaborating with allied health professionals and community organizations.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant health or social care field.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-quality care services within a residential or hospital setting.
  • Sound knowledge of supported independent living principles and the specific care needs of individuals with complex needs.
