Key Responsibilities
  • Capture and record data effectively through two-way communication and enter it into relevant systems.
  • Remotely monitor, control, and optimize equipment to support the delivery of planned activities, meeting or exceeding daily targets for the underground mine.
  • Respond promptly to critical system alarms and work with the team to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Validate equipment performance and instrumentation regularly.
  • Identify tasks that can be performed during downtime and communicate them to the team.
  • Understand the SOC Technician's role in managing emergencies and incidents.
  • Drive continuous improvement by generating new ideas that benefit the business.
  • Be open to multiskilling in other control functions of the Site Operations Centre and project/leadership roles that will enhance the SOC's capabilities.
  • Assist in training and developing new team members in the SOC and field environments.
  • Provide support and assistance to field technicians, adhering to HWWT principles.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and report any concerns to the field Supervisor and SOC Supervisor.
Location and Roster

Carrapateena, South Australia (30-minute flight from Port Augusta / 60-minute flight from Adelaide)

8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off; flights available daily from Adelaide or 3 times a week from Port Augusta, with 100% company-paid travel time.

About You

This role requires a team-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a Control Room Technician, you will supplement the team and deliver best practice outcomes by possessing skills and personal attributes including:

  • Fleet management experience using Pitram (desired)
  • Underground mining experience or knowledge (desired)
  • Experience with radio communication systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Microsoft Office suite and PC proficiency
  • Able to make timely decisions and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to adapt to daily changes and meet targets
  • Safety-conscious mindset
  • Proactive outlook with a positive attitude
Salary and Benefits

We offer an attractive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible working options, generous paid parental leave, extended leave entitlements, and a best-in-class employee share program.
