Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in underground mining operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing and repairing complex machinery, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including Rhino 100 Raise Bore rigs;
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and develop corrective action plans;
  • Collaborate with operators and supervisors to ensure smooth equipment operation and minimize downtime;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and adhere to regulatory requirements;
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians to promote knowledge sharing and skill development;

Requirements

  • Trade qualification (e.g., Fitter and Turner or equivalent) and relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance;
  • Proven expertise in working with underground mining equipment, preferably Rhino 100 Raise Bore rigs;
  • Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices;
  • Valid Australian Manual Driver's Licence;
  • National Police clearance;
