About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Life Without Barriers. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support and behaviour plans to ensure the well-being and safety of our clients.
  • Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities and promote independence.
  • Maintain thorough record keeping and communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues, and advocate for client choice and control.
Requirements
  • Experience working with people with disabilities and providing personal care.
  • An unrestricted Australian driver's licence and confidence to drive a large wheelchair van.
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Ability to commit to a set roster and work flexible hours.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance. To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate.
