About the Role

The City of Whittlesea is seeking a skilled Technical Specialist to join the team at the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre (PRACC). As a Lighting and Stage Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and breakdown of technical equipment, including lighting, stage machinery, and special effects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the technical setup for events, including lighting, stage machinery, and special effects.
  • Ensure the smooth execution of events by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a live environment.
  • Maintain and manage technical equipment to the highest standards, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the success of events and the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Strong background in theatre technology, particularly in lighting.
  • Expertise in stagecraft and a commitment to safety and precision in work.
  • Experience with advanced systems like Riedel Bolero, Allen & Heath dLive, and GrandMA3.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other team members and dedication to maintaining and managing technical equipment to the highest standards.
