About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Specialist to join our team at the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre (PRACC). As a key member of our technical operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of events by managing all aspects of the technical setup, including lighting, stage machinery, and special effects.

About You

You will have a strong background in theatre technology, particularly in lighting, and be adept at troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a live environment. Your expertise in stagecraft is complemented by a commitment to safety and precision in your work. Experience with advanced systems like Riedel Bolero, Allen & Heath dLive, and GrandMA3 is highly valued, and you're eager to expand your skills in these areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup, operate, and breakdown of technical equipment, including lighting, stage machinery, and special effects.
  • Manage all aspects of the technical setup, including coordination with other team members and ensuring safety protocols are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Continuously develop and improve technical skills, including experience with industry-leading tools and systems.
