Justice System Support Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a legally qualified individual to work as an Associate to the Honourable Justice Hannon in the Supreme Court of Victoria. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the administration of justice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the production and review of judgments, including proofreading and editing
- Clerking in court proceedings
- Reviewing files and orders for accuracy and completeness
- Performing administrative tasks, including maintaining court records and preparing material for use by the judge
- Preparing research memoranda to support judicial decision-making
- Liaising with court staff, the public, the media and the legal profession
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to convey information accurately and confidently
- Exceptional proofreading and writing skills, with proficiency in grammar and spelling
- Must be qualified in Law with 1-2 years post-admission experience desirable but not essential
