The hospital features 13 operating theatres, a 50-bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre, and Outpatients.

About the Role

The Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) team provides care to patients being admitted for theatre procedures. As an Enrolled Nurse in this role, you will work across all areas of Day Surgery, including pre-operative and post-operative areas. This challenging and rewarding position requires a strong patient-service focus, commitment to continued service improvement, and problem-solving skills to improve patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA registration
  • Diploma of Nursing or equivalent
  • Proven clinical experience in day of surgery
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
