About This Opportunity

We are seeking a Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Medibank Private Limited.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong leadership skills and clinical expertise in acute medical and surgical care. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centred care and undertaking clinical reviews as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Your day-to-day duties will involve face-to-face reviews of patients in their homes, who require a range of nursing skills including PICC line management, venepuncture, IVC insertion, IVAB administration, drain management, clinical deterioration, wound dressings, and respiratory assessments. Recent acute medical/surgical experience is essential.

This position involves community-based work and may require travel within the Adelaide metropolitan area and surrounding regions. The use of our fleet car will be provided to support your mobility needs.

The role is offered on a fixed-term contract until September 2025, with the possibility of extension. You will be rostered across a 7-day period, working two shifts: 7am-3pm or 2pm-10pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver high-quality patient-centred care to patients in their homes
  • To undertake clinical reviews as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • To manage a range of nursing skills including PICC line management, venepuncture, IVC insertion, IVAB administration, drain management, clinical deterioration, wound dressings, and respiratory assessments
  • To work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Extensive background working in an acute setting
  • Clinical experience in the management of acute medical and surgical patients
