Job Summary:

The Department of Health, Tasmania is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Child Health and Family Nurse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to families with children under 5 years old, promoting healthy development and wellbeing, and supporting parents in their parenting journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate healthcare for individuals, groups, families, and communities.
  • Interact effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to facilitate the provision of optimum child-centered healthcare.
  • Participate in research and evidence-based practice to maintain and improve the quality of patient/client care.
  • Identify and meet client goals in partnership with clients and their families/significant others.
  • Contribute to the organization's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes.

About the Team:

The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) is the primary provider of Child and Family Health Nursing services to Tasmanian families with children under 5 years old. Our team of nurses work in various settings, including clinics, homes, and co-located with other local community services, supported by allied health practitioners, clinical nurse educators, and clinical nurse consultants.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current Working with Children Registration.
